This week topic is about my favorite side ships, about romance that don’t involved the protagonist. I am so excited about this topic, since imo, side romance deserve the amount of love as the main romance!

Malec (Magnus and Alec – Shadowhunter Series)
Oh Malec. If it wasn’t for them, I won’t bother finishing The Mortal Instruments. Their love develop slowly and beautifuly, especially since they were starcrossed at first. They have a lot of issues, Alec being a Shadowhunter, Magnus being a Warlock, an immortal playboy warlock at that one. Then they started to trust each other and the rest is magic. I still swoon at that boat scene in City of Ashes. It hasn’t always been easy for both of them, but I’m glad they are still going strong.
Solangelo (Nico and Will – HoO and Trials of Apollo series)
*flails* Nico diAngelo deserves happiness and sunshine and rainbows (no pun intended) and he got the freaking son of Apollo, the sun god. Rick Riordan never hold back in “deserved sunshine” thing. It’s so cute seeing moody nico being cared and coddled around by Will, if there’s no Percabeth, Solangelo will be my main ship (✿◠‿◠)
Klaroline (Klaus and Caroline – The Vampire Diaries tv show)
From the first time they met, you can feel the attraction between them. Yes, Klaus is a horrible person vampire, but he truly cares about Caroline! He showed her his side that no one knows, not even his family, I guess. That scene at the ball? It’s perfect. I haven’t watched TVD for ages, but I heard what Caroline found at the finale, and I’m really looking forward for this ship to sail.
Mars Ultor and the Witch of Endor (Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series)
Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel is definitely one of the most underrated series ever existed. Guys, you really should read this, especially you people who keep complaining wanting a YA with less romance. This book has NO ROMANCE between the main charaters, they are focused in saving the world! Now, about Mars and Witch of Endor, they have a tragic story and I always love a tragic romance. They were the perfect power couple at the beginning. Then Mars got crazy and the Witch has to locked him down the catacombs for Millenia. When they were reunited at last in the final battle, they promised they will meet each other again and catch up for the lost time. Alas, it did not happened. My heart broke when I read that scene💔
Jily (James Potter and Lily Potter)
Okay, I might be reading too much fanfiction here for this ship(✿◠‿◠) But hate-to-love relationship has always been one of my weakness, and imagining Lily- who hated James at first- fall in love slowly with James is just(っ◔◡◔)っ ❤ I mean… imagine the moment she realize “shit, I’m in love with James freaking Potter” and the moment James realize Lily might like him back. Also, imagine the banter! I bet they are hilarious and entertaining.

I’ve only read 3 of the 5 series that you’ve mentioned here (okay I think I may have read the Secrets of the Immortal ones many many years ago but I don’t remember them at all) and I love all your choices! I stopped watching TVD at the end of season 6, so have absolutely no idea what’s happened since, but Klaroline was my absolute favourite. And while Percabeth will always be my OTP, I’ve read so much Solangelo stuff online because they were ultimately too cute to deal with. Man just thinking about this makes me want to go re-read some of these…
