A lot of people said this all the time and I’m 10000% sure a lot of more people will said this, but I CAN’T BELIEVE WE ARE ALMOST AT THE END OF 2017.
I think we all could agree that 2017 is a bit calmer compared to 2016. At least in my opinion, it seems calmer. But tbh it scares me because it felt like a calm before storm??? It seems like 2015 was the last good year we as the whole world enjoyed 😬
I swear November has been an endless month of tired-ness, hence the lack of reading I did this year. I met my goodreads reading of 75 books (I’m now at 79)- and I still haven’t finished Jane Eyre.
- DREAMS OF GODS AND MONSTERS by Laini Taylor // ✰✰
- THE DOLLMAKER OF KRAKOW by R. M Romero // ✰✰
- FOREST OF A THOUSAND LANTERN by Julie C. Dao // ✰✰✰✰.5
- AMY AND ROGER’S EPIC DETOUR by Morgan Matson // ✰✰✰✰
- LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE by Celeste Ng {Review coming soon!} // ✰✰✰✰.75
I really really wish I get to read these books in December. I’ve been in a mood for something christmas-y so I’ll probably re-read MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME and read the rest of the books throughout the month.
- JANE EYRE by Charlotte Bronte
- LADY RENEGADES by Rachel Hawkins
- THE GIRL IN THE TOWER by Katherine Arden
- DECKED WITH HOLLY by Marni Bates
- DASH AND LILY’S BOOK OF DARES by Rachel Cohn
- Marie @ Drizzle & Hurricane writing a perfect post about statistics, popularity, and so on.
- Mishma @ Chasing Faerytales is listing what YA needs to get right about teenagers.
- Riveted Lit shared 7 books with women in STEM as main character.
- We have a trailer for THE INCREDIBLES 2!!!
- INFINITY WAR TRAILER HAS DROPPED. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT, THE TRAILER HAS DROPPED!!!!
- Josephine @ Word Revel explains why we MUST NOT burn books for instagram.
- Some of you might’ve heard, and probably indifferent, towards the auction of Salvator Mundi, which was worth $450 million, making it the most expensive painting in the world. I found an article that tells us what happen AFTER the auction, and I find it a very interesting read.
- Cait @ Paper Fury shared with us 15 types of tropes and her relationship with it (sort of like f#%k, marry, and kill- but with YA tropes)
- Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight listed the blogging cycle of the book bloggers.
November was… exhausting. I really didn’t expect it to be this tiring. At the beginning of the month, we were having our mid-term exams and afterwards, it’s usually pretty chill. And it was, most of my class were cancelled due some stuff. But that week felt mentally draining for some reason. The next weeks were just exhausting. I went to uni early, got back at 9++, and there were some things I need to take care of outside of uni. Not to mention the amount of money I spent this month…. it’s giving me all the guilt.
And the worst thing is, a lot of my friends seems to be getting into depression and being suicidal and I really don’t know how to help. I’m really lost because I never been in THAT place, and I can feel their problems start to have a toll on me too. If you have any advice and help, I would be very grateful.
I’m really looking forward for the holidays (I’ve been blasting christmas song since November 1), but the closer we got to the end of 2017, the more freaked out I become. I love to watch Infinity War sooner, but the world seems like such a scary place and I’m just scared.

Wow, I’m surprised that you didn’t love the Laini Taylor book! I’ve only read the first in that series, but I’ve heard so many amazing things. I’m not sure she’s the author for me though, to be honest. I hope you love Jane Eyre! I’ve been meaning to read that too! I’m really sorry you’ve had such a rough month. Hopefully things start looking up with Christmas coming!
