May Wrap Up & June TBR // Just 1 more week to freedom!!!

MONTHLY wrap up

Remember when I hope I could be more active in May?

Hahahahahahaha. That didn’t happen. I was in a weird mood in April and I managed to bounce back at the beginning of May, butttt uni really kicked my ass. This is the last month before finals and there are sooo many assignments to cram. I enjoy the busy-ness but at the same time I’m sooo ready for summer.

  1. GO BRAVELY by Emily Wilson Hussem {ARC} // ✰✰.5
  2. HALF BAD by Sally Green // ✰✰✰✰
  3. THE ASTROLOGY OF YOU AND ME by Gary Goldschneider {ARC} // ✰✰✰
  4. MY LADY’S CHOOSING by Kitty Curan {ARC} // ✰✰✰
  5. A YEAR OF TAKING CHANCES by Jennifer Bohnet {ARC} // ✰✰
  6. THE ODDLING PRINCE by Nancy Springer {ARC} // DNF at 30%
  7. SON OF DAWN by Cassandra Clare // ✰✰✰✰✰
  8. CAST LONG SHADOWS by Cassandra Clare // ✰✰
  9. I KNOW A WOMAN by Kate Hodges {ARC} // ✰✰
  10. BRING ME THEIR HEARTS by Sara Wolf {ARC} // ✰✰✰.5 (Review to come!)

It looks a lot, but this month is definitely one of those quantity > quality. My average rating this month is 3 (divided by 9, 2.7 if I divide it by 10) which definitely feels meh. I also barely remember anything of those books (except for half bad, my lady’s choosing, and son of dawn) which proves how unmemorable my reading month was.

  1. STRANGE THE DREAMER by Laini Taylor
  2. STALKING JACK THE REAPER by Kerri Maniscalco
  3. ALONG FOR THE RIDE by Sarah Dessen / LOCK AND KEY by Sarah Dessen
  4. WANDERLOST by Jane Malone
  5. DANGEROUS GIRLS by Abigail Haas
  6. A SECRET HISTORY OF WITCHES by Louisa Morgan {ARC}
  7. THE LETTER FOR THE KING by Tonke Dragt {ARC}

SUMMER IS ALMOST HEREEE. So I have a pretty ambitious TBR for the summer, having huge books like Strange the Dreamer. I throw Stalking Jack the Reaper and Dangerous Girls to change the mood a bit. For that compulsory summer contemporary reads, I have Wanderlost and Sarah Dessen books. Finally, I have some ARCs I need to catch up with!

Remember when I say that I hope May is a better month? HAHAHAHAHA.

I wish I can say that it’s true, but sadly life really gets to me in May.Β My mood is better in May yes, but I was so damn busy with last minute assignments I barely have time to do anything else.

By the time this post is up, I will be in the middle of my finals, which will last until the first week of June. But theenn it will be holiday until September so I’m not complaining! As you may see from my TBR, I have so many books to read and more ARCs to catch up with. I also have a lot of K-dramas to watch, not to mention western movies and tv shows. I also have plans to re-organize this blog; editing old post, remove/add some tags and categories, create new directory page, commenting back, and so on. All in all, it’s going to be an eye-tiring holiday!

Lookout for: My review of HP 1-4, one last post about K-dramas, before we are moving to the realm of K-pop, and some post about my blog/myself, depending on what mood I’m in at that time.

How was May for you?

  1. Sorry May wasn’t a great month for you, Tasya. I just finished my last uni exam yesterday but I still don’t feel truly free haha. But I hope now that it’s over you can get to everything you have planned to do! Good luck with your results and I hope this will be a better reading month for you!

  2. Hey, 10 books is pretty darn impressive, even while Uni kicks your butt around. πŸ˜€ I’ve heard super great things about Strange the Dreamer, so maybe June has some beautiful things waiting for you. πŸ˜‰ Happy reading!

  3. I am so glad I gave into the hype and read Dangerous Girls. Absolutely loved it, and it was pretty far outside my normal reading zone. Dessen really is the YA queen of the beach. I have read all her books, and need her to write something new ASAP.

  5. YOU GOT THIS!! Just keep thinking of summer and all the current suffering from studying for finals will be much more bearable… at least, that’s what I did for two months before my finals. πŸ˜‹ I just got done with school this week, and that moment when the last day of school ended was one of the most liberating feelings in the world. I’m looking forward to all the amazing posts you’ll post this summer, Tasya, and good luck with your finals! 😊

  7. Best of luck with your finals!! I may miss some things about school, but exams are definitely not on the list πŸ˜‚ And I’m sorry that this was kind of a blah reading month for you. We all get them from time to time, but it sucks with they coincide with a stressful/busy month! I hope you like your June reads more πŸ™‚

  11. Aaaah, you still have school?? I’m so sorry. I hope “first week” meant “ends today”! It stinks that your books for May were lackluster, but hopefully June will bring wonderful books and lots of relaxation!
