I know it’s super cliche to start off a wrap up post by questioning how fast time flies, but really, how is it almost August already???
July has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me, but looking back, it’s definitely one of the happy months. I also managed to read a lot this month and watched a lot of things, while getting things done, so there’s that. Without further ado, let’s see how was July for me!
- KISS OF THE ROYAL by Lindsey Duga {ARC} // ✰✰✰✰

- CHINA RICH GIRLFRIEND by Kevin Kwan
I’m currently in the middle of reading 3 different books: INTERMISSION by Serena Chase, SIMON VS HOMO SAPIENS AGENDA by Becky Abertalli, and BOTTLED GOODS by Sophie Van Llewyn. So I’ll have 5 books on my TBR next month, and will probably adds a couple ARCs there as the month goes.
- Lily @ Sprinkles of Dreams tells us what reading challenge really matters for her
- Puput @ Sparkling Letters is back, and she shares about her experience with translated books (so true)
- The Dark Knight is my all-time favorite super hero movie, so here’s an interesting article of how the movie is an exploration of guilt.
- Claire @ Clairefy write this post in defense of the library against
- Shealea @ That Bookshelf Bitch put together alternatives to read legally instead of piracy- which is extremely helpful, especially for those who don’t have access to libraries like me.
- Cait @ Paper Fury shares some ways to keep writing when you have mental illness.
July proved to be a more surprising and busier month than I thought. For starters: I got a puppy!
I guess it’s been a long time coming, my mom has been talking about getting a puppy a lot and been asking here and there about adopting, but I never thought she was serious. There were some close calls but they didn’t happen. For my part, I’d love to have a puppy, but I hate to think about what happen if I lose it*. So yeah, imagine my surprise when on Sunday, July 22nd, when I came home from church with my dad and sister, the puppy is already home. His name is Pedro, he’s 6 months old and he’s a miniature poodle. I instantly fell in love with him, but I didn’t expect the first night to be as hard as it was.
*It’s the shitty thing my mind always do whenever I’m doing/meeting someone new, I always think about what happen if I lose them. What happen if we graduate? What happen if we break up? What’s next? How do I move forward? Which sucks because I want to enjoy the moment instead of worrying about things that will happen in the future and outside my control.
The thing is, our bedrooms are Pedro-free zone, so he can’t sleep with us. If you have a dog, you might remember that your puppy whines and bark all night when left alone. And it was heartbreaking. And hard to ignore, all I want to do is took him to bed with me. So I ended up not sleeping at all and got sick for the next two days.
I also had a mini freakout on top of that because a) I’m turning 20 and I’M IN DENIAL 😭 and b) I can’t believe I have only 2 years left of university. I am both excited and terrified for my future and while I have a kind of game plan, life rarely goes according to plan and IT’S TERRIFYING. So the last 2 weeks of the month have been very happy but sad too, and it was very exhausting emotionally.
You also noticed that I changed the section banners for this wrap up. I just realized I made the new banners a few months back together when I revamped the design, but forgot to use it 😅 Not much change except I think it fits more with my current blog layout hehe.

I post less this month, and definitely not as much as I planned for pottermonth. Idk, I just hit with a slump at the beginning of the month and the schedule just went awry, so I decided to not posting at all.
Puppy! Lots to cuddle. Photos please of cutie Pedro? 😀
Ah yes hitting the mid point of the college years and then what will you do? Graduation is inching closer and can I do this? Totally get that feeling. ❤ But hey, it will get better. And once probably back at college you'll probably be too busy to worry about it. which is win-lose situation haha.

Yeah, cuddling with him is how I spent the rest of the summer haha! ❤ I'll post it in my next wrap up 😀 I hope it's just me worrying to much and I will have a blast for the last 2 years of uni, I'd love to remember this time fondly 🙂

Omg a PUPPY!! * melts * I’ve always wanted a pet! Also your tbr is a bit similar to mine – I’m currently reading Smoke in the Sun! I’ll admit the beginning is a bit underwhelming..but I enjoyed the first book and the prose is of course beautiful so I’m hoping I’ll fall in love with it by the time I finished reading.

I’m only 30% into it..I ended up taking a break from it to read another book. I’m starting to feel like it’s a bit dull tbh..Maybe I’m just not in the right mood for it!
