June Wrap Up & July TBR (2019) // A month where I zombified through the day

MONTHLY wrap up

Oh June, what did you do to me?

  1. THE LANGUAGE OF FIRE: JOAN OF ARC REIMAGINED by Stephanie Hemphill // ✰✰✰ {e-ARC}
  2. RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE by Casey McQuiston // DNF
  3. THE POISON THREAD by Laura Purcell // ✰✰✰✰ {e-ARC}
  4. NEVER CONTENTED THINGS by Sarah Porter // DNF {e-ARC}

  1. THE GIFTED SCHOOL by Brian Holsinger {e-ARC}
  2. GOOD OMENS by Neil Gaiman
  3. THE FURIES by Katie Lowe {e-ARC}

Not a lot to read next month, as I want to concentrate on my internship and just take everything else easily. I have 2 e-ARCs I have to finish, but other books are just optional.

I don’t really blog hop during the month, so I don’t have any post to link up.

Me, during the month:

Honestly, it’s just crazy! Yes, I had around one and a half week off at the beginning of the month, hence the reading, but it was spent stressing about finals and internship. I finally got my visa so I had to book the tickets and sign the documents, as well as running around shopping like a headless chicken.

And then finals happened. Honestly, I don’t know what happened but I felt really tired?? Like the materials shouldn’t be this heavy- maybe I’m just not in the right state of mind? All I can think about how I should’ve been reading for internship instead of doing finals, which is not nice and really distracting.

This also mean I *might* go on hiatus during the month of July-August as I don’t know the internet situation there. I mean, I’m sure I will have the connection but the price I have to pay will be another matter. So let’s just see what happened but if I disappear for a while, well, you know what happened 😉

I’m super excited and high-key terrified for the internship though. By the time this post goes up, I’ll be there already. My first day is on Monday, so wish me luck!!

I actually had a lot of posts scheduled up for this month, but I didn’t get to finish them on time/just wasn’t really happy with the quality, so these are the only ones that got published.

How was June for you? Any summer plans? Have any first-day of work tips I should know of? 😉

  1. Congrats on the Internship!!! I hope you enjoy your time there and don’t stress now that school is out and you have a new experience. I didn’t really love Never Contented Things either though I finished it. Not really my kind of fae book. ❤️

  2. aww tasya take care! june was really stressful for me too because of finals, but i didn’t have to worry about an internship as well – it must have been terrible for you :(( hope things will get better soon, and that you’ll like the internship! (also, i’m curious – why did you dnf red, white and royal blue? i’ve heard nothing but good about it, and would like to hear more about the bad side of the story.)

    1. Thank you so much, Chloe! ❤ I think it's just more of a personal preference ahaha. I love the banter and ship the couple really hard, but this book just have too much sexy times that overshadow the important conversation going on with the story 🙂

  3. I hope you LOVE Good Omens! I read it in June and thought it was awesome and so hilarious. And you’re going to kill your internship. I know it’s stressful, but you can do it! Also, please do a review on why you DNF’s Red, White, and Royal Blue! I have seen so much hype about it and would love to read why you didn’t like it.
