Meme Book Tag // This tag is full of my favorite memes!

Hello everyone! I usually put up some halloween-themed posts in this time of the year, but I’m still stuck in a rut so I decided to do something fun instead!

If you’re like me, then you’re someone who likes to text in gifs and emojis and follow the latest meme. I mean, they are such a fun way to express your feelings! And I just find it interesting how people use the memes to explain different situations 😂 So when I saw Sarah @ Written Word Worlds created this tag, I know I was going to do it. What I didn’t know was how long it would take for me to actually did it 😂

But anyways, we’re here now. So let’s see what memes will make an appearance and what books I’ll pair with them!

Novel You Got Confused By

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. Look, I love the atmosphere and the characters, but I have NO IDEA what actually happened 99% of the time.

A Book You Always Name-Drop

Harry Potter! Other than because everyone knows the series that everyone can at least understand the reference, it also makes people curious enough to try the book!

A Book You Bought When It Was Popular But Will Never Read

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas. Look, I’m not saying that I’m 100% sure I will never read the book, but it’s been years and I haven’t read it yet ¯\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)_/¯

A Book You Would Cheat on Your TBR To Read Right Now

Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin. I really really REALLY want to read it during this months so I wish I could cheat to read it instead of waiting to finish several books I’m currently reading.

A Book You’re Surprised No One Else Likes

The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott. Especially because everyone is complaining about how YA is full of romance and here is a 6-books series filled with action, magic, and mythological figures with ZERO ROMANCE and fantastic siblings.

A Book You Keep Rereading, Despite Your Growing TBR

I don’t really reread book that often, but talking about Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel makes me wants to reread the series next year, along with the Iron Fey series!

An Underrated Book You’ll Never Stop Shouting At People to Read

The Winternight trilogy by Katherine Arden! It’s just so magical, atmospheric, and at its heart, is a story about a family and a country in a brink of change. I also love the dynamics between our main characters!

Spill the Tea! Name A Book You’re Surprised Is Popular

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I was excited for its release too but it was such a disappointment. The world building was great, but the plot feels like a mishmash of random, extremely popular YA books at that time. The characters are also very lackluster, I just skimmed the rest of the book.

A Book You Were Recommended But Ended Up Hating

I barely get any book recommendations, so I can’t answer this prompt hehe.

An Iconic Friendship in A Book

7171637. sy475

The legendary parabatai Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs from The Infernal Devices! I’m supposed to do a reread of the series this year so hopefully I could squeeze everything in in this last 2 months of 2019!

That’s all for today! Do you keep up with memes? Do you like to use them and send them to your friends? What books were you recommended but ended up hating?

  1. I love your answers for this tag! ❤ I have to admit that… yes, I got very confused by The Raven Boys as well haha you're not the only one. I still really love the series, but…. yes, very confusing hahaha.
