October Wrap Up & November TBR // I read and watched a lot!

MONTHLY wrap up

Oh look it’s another wrap up!

We’re officially on the last stretch of the 2010’s and we’ll soon enter the 20’s! I don’t know whether to be excited or afraid- I think at this point it’s more afraid because nothing seems so bright right now 😭

But that’s just me overthinking and we’re not here to talk about the doom and gloom of the future. We’re here for the books! So without further ado, here are the books and things I did in October!

So yeah, I made a split second decision at the beginning of October to joined SPN readathon. I know October was going to be challenging but I couldn’t miss it! Especially with SPN being in its final season. I’m sooo happy with what I did- I managed to finish all prompts and enjoyed all books!

  1. SORCERESS by Claudia Gray
  2. LADY MIDNIGHT by Cassandra Clare
  3. 100 DAYS OF SUNLIGHT by Abbie Emmons {eARC}

Another short stack for November! I will probably read more than what’s listed, but those three are my priority read for the month.

Spooky and fall season seemed to be in full swing for people in the northern hemisphere! Everyone seems to be enjoying the cozy, cool weather, planning halloween activities and doing spooky things in general. And here I am, in Indonesia, where the sun shines and burn as hot as ever. At least we got rain, albeit VERY rarely.

I got sweep away in the hype though, so I’ve been consuming a lot of horror media this month! Most of my read fills the halloween box and I’ve been having a movie marathon of halloween movies. There’s also Lore and Buzzfeed Unsolved marathon, along with this creepy webtoon call Chiller. If you love being scared, I promise you, you’d love this webtoon!

I’ve been mentioning that this semester I don’t have as many classes and as the result, my schedule has been very lax. While it was refreshing at first, it certainly not now. I feel like I’m stuck in a rut even deeper 😦 Especially since this is my final mid terms and while I do want to put effort since this might be my last mid terms ever, I just couldn’t because tbh the classes aren’t as hard as they used to be 😦 So now I feel like I’m not doing as much as I used to and it really frustrates me. And it’s not like I don’t want to get involved in other activities, but I don’t want to apply while not knowing whether I could give them my best 😦 So yeah it’s a circle of my moods.

How was October? Did you do anything fun during the month? What costume did you have for halloween?

  1. I definitely relate to the having less classes issue – this is the first semester of my Master’s and (1) I only have to go to uni three days a week, (2) most of my classes are lectures, and so unlike seminars, I don’t have to do any work just be there, sit, and listen. It is easy enough (I’m sure the exam period will be more challenging, though, haha) so I hate complaining, but I’m bored of these classes – this being the first semester they’re pretty basic – and I hate attending uni because of that. I used to be into at least SOME of my classes every semester, and that’s just not the case here. I tried looking for a job to fill in the weekdays I’m not going to uni on, but I haven’t found one that wants students for two-three fix days for a week, smh. Hope your classes get a bit better. πŸ™‚

  2. I really enjoyed 100 Days of Sunlight so I hope you do too Tasya! Chiller sounds really neat, I’ll check it out. I’m reading Home Sweet a really creepy webtoon too.

    It sounds like school is feeling a little empty and uncertain to you! Is it the beginning of the end?! I feel like sometimes the end of something just peters out when we want a big bang. Maybe that’s just me though. πŸ˜€

    Thanks for including my DNF post! I’m still working on DNFing though…
