I know that it’s still November, that we don’t have winter in Indonesia and that the weather has been extremely hot these past few days.
But when Erin @ Reading On A Star tagged me for this, I just couldn’t resist to do this immediately! I know that this tag is not necessarily about Christmas, but Baby It’s Cold Outside is one of my all time favorite festive song so I couldn’t help but associate it with Christmas ❄ I’m just so ready for it, it’s always my favorite holiday and I’ve been blasting Christmas songs since September (not like all the time, but it’s been increasing in frequency lately). Especially since it’s been so hot and humid, I just wish for colder weather.
Without further delay, let’s just get started!

❄ Snow Day – What’s your “comfort” book?
I don’t think I have any comfort book since I don’t really do a re-read when I want to be comforted 😅 It just takes too much time and focus. I prefer to watch movies so for this one, I will answer with my favorite comfort movie which is Pride & Prejudice (2005). The music, the aesthetic, the romance… I just love curling up watching the movie. Even when I only have short time, I love to hop on youtube and watch short clips from the movie 🥺
❄ Snow Angels – What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it(a little morid, but…)?
I couldn’t think any answer for this one either 😅 I think I would rather my books to be given to people who would enjoy them haha!
❄ Warm Socks – What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside?(The fluffiest, cutest romance you’ve ever read?)
I’m currently reading Muse of Nightmares and the romance between Lazlo and Sarai is just so… tender 🥺 Sure it is filled with angst but in general, the way they speak and held each other is just so intimate and soft.
❄ Hot Cocoa – What winter-themed novels have you previously read?
When it comes to holiday books, the only ones I remembered are Let It Snow and My True Love Gave to Me. I tried Dash and Lily but I just couldn’t get into it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I hope I will have a better luck with the movie.
Since the book is asking for winter-themed, I would use this opportunity to once again, screaming about The Bear and The Nightingale by Katherine Arden. If you’re looking for the perfect, wintry fairytale retelling, this is it. It doesn’t get any better than this, I promise you.
❄ Sledding – What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes?
I really should keep a goodreads shelf titled “crazy twist” as I always enjoy them while reading, but got stuck whenever I’m asked about my favorite twist 🙃 I would say the Debutante duology by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is super fun and full with twists, I couldn’t stop reading!
❄ Ugly Sweaters – What’s a book with the ugliest cover?
I tried to keep ugly covers out of my mind tbh, I just never remembers them? 🙈 I wouldn’t say that it is the ugliest cover out there, but the cover redesign for the Winner’s trilogy is just so bad 💀
❄ Movie Marathon – What’s the last book you binge read?
Deadly Little Scandals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes! As I mentioned, this duology is just so much fun and full of secrets I always stayed up late reading. I’m currently reading Muse of Nightmares and would love to binge-read it, but I prefer savoring the story slowly ✨
❄ Letter to Santa – What’s a book that’s on your wishlist this year?
I don’t think I will get any books this year, but I would LOVE to get These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong 💖
