Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I did a tag and since I’m running out of motivation and ideas to write a post, I figure it was the perfect time to do one! I’ve been saving this tag I saw from Aimee Always in 2018 but then I discovered the blog has been deactivated. Since I really want to do this tag, I look for it in other blogs and found it on Zezee with Books.
Let’s get started!
- Link back to me so I can see everyone’s answers! (Naty’s Bookshelf)
- Also link back to the person who tagged you!
- Name one book for each category; try not to repeat books to make this more fun!
- Tag at least 5 people
A LIBRARY BOOK
Our library here is nonexistent so I’ll use scribd as my library. I have The Poppy War on Scribd to read and I’m really excited to do so! I don’t know why I keep putting it off though…
A BOOK I GOT AS A GIFT
I’m really lucky to receive this 10 year anniversary boxset of Percy Jackson and The Olympians!
A CHILDHOOD BOOK
I still have A LOT of my childhood books and I’ve been looking for places to donate them. Idk I’m just really picky since I want my books to go to people who really need them, you know? Like these books made me happy and taught me a lot and I wish them will do so to the recipients. One of my most precious are my collections of Indonesian folktales books- they really helped me connect with my culture and interested in history!
A MAGICAL BOOK
Strange the Dreamer is one of the most magical books I’ve read, in terms of writing, world building, and the romance. It was just exquisite and an experience™
A ROMANTIC BOOK
Daughter of Smoke and Bone has one of my favorite romance: star-crossed, enemies to lovers with magical powers who found each other again in the next life ✨💗
A STEAMY BOOK
I don’t really have steamy book on my shelf, but Ignite Me has some steamy scenes between Juliette and Warner.
AN OLD BOOK
Hm, how old are we talking about? If it’s a classic, then I’m going to pick this gorgeous B&N edition of Dracula, with its red leather cover and black sprayed edges 🖤
A BOOK THAT MAKES ME HAPPY/LAUGH
The Hidden Oracle, which is the first book in Trials of Apollo series. Apollo’s inner monologue and narcissim never fail to made me laugh!
A BOOK THAT MADE ME EMOTIONAL
It’s been a long while since I’ve read a book that made me emotional, but one of them is the good, old, The Song of Achilles 💔
A BOOK WITH AN ENDING I DISLIKE
Can I answer with Ignite Me again? Because that was such an abrupt ending after the thrilling war, I need more!
A BOOK I WISH HAD ILLUSTRATIONS
Hm. Not sure about this one, since most fantasy books nowadays have illustrated maps and other books I read doesn’t need illustrations anyway. I’ll skip it for now.
A BOOK OR GENRE I LOVE TO READ WHEN IT’S RAINING
I usually love darker books like If We Were Villains to read on a rainy day; it really fits the gloom and cold. But nowadays it’s usually raining during the days when I’m working so I haven’t read anything during rainy days…
